GX TRUCKING SUPERVISOR

The Trucking Supervisor is responsible for managing a fleet of trucks and drivers and coordinating partner carriers to help with daily workflow as needed. He or she will perform daily safety meetings, monitor fleet safety and production of company and contract trucks, and perform daily production closeouts. He or she must have great commination skills, be a team leader and be good at multi-tasking and planning. He or she must possess a CDL and have good knowledge of trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. He or she will monitor vehicle inspections, perform minor preventative maintenance, and possess good knowledge of the FMCSA and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities:

· Assigning loads to company drivers and lease drivers.

· Maintaining communication with customers, company field personnel, and drivers.

· Account Management of assigned Customers.

· Ensure on time pickups and deliveries to meet our customers’ and jobsite needs.

· Ensure Driver safety, including DOT compliance, safe working conditions, and maintaining GarrettX Standards & Policies

· Assist Drivers with inquiries regarding availability, mileage, fuel cards, and other obstacles throughout the day.

· Assist with other requests made of the Operations Department

· Scheduling imports and exports of Aggregate Materials to Jobsites and Production Plant Sites.

· May plan transportation route by consulting road and city maps to ensure clearance and load limits of roads, bridges, and overhead obstructions, such as power lines and underpasses, utilizing knowledge of state regulations regarding size and weight of loads, traffic speeds, and use of clearance lights.

Skills:

· CDL CLASS A or B with the ability to drive a Manual Transmission.

· Looking for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, has excellent organizational skills, and possesses the ability to multitask and prioritize.

· Must possess good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

· Possess proficient computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook and AS400.

· Prior knowledge of the Construction and Trucking industries.

· Basic understanding of Maintenance Breakdowns

· Minimum 3 years of experience managing a truck fleet.
