Oxford Collection Hotels is Hiring an Accountant II Near Bend, OR

This position is onsite at the corporate office in beautiful Bend Oregon!
POSITION SUMMARY: The Corporate Office Accountant II is responsible for assisting the department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization while upholding the company standards and culture. Communication with the property staff and corporate office staff will be a part of this position’s daily duties. All interactions will be handled in a professional and confidential manner. There is a high level of integrity and trust needed for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional care, attention to detail and genuine guest service while always upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a professional, friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Completing tasks with multiple deadlines during the month-end close process
  • Month End Closing of multiple entities including, but not limited to:
    • Reconciliations of various bank accounts for multiple entities
    • Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly state and local tourism and lodging taxes
    • Posting allocations and adjusting general ledger journal entries
    • Recording and tracking amortization entries
    • Issue General Ledger detail to properties for review
    • Posting corporate credit card transactions
    • Reconcile and post entries for Square Gift Cards
  • Monitor activity of various balance sheet accounts and provide guidance to properties to rectify issues
  • Researching/reviewing the work of others as well as your own and making corrections according to internal policies
  • Assist with mid-year and year-end true ups of balance sheet accounts
  • Running and sending out monthly reports for ownership and leadership
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two- or four-year degree preferred
  • Prior accounting experience required
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
  • Must have exceptional detail in follow-up
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and under deadlines
  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Sage Intacct (ERP-accounting software) experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand on feet throughout the day
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
  • Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
