JOB DESCRIPTION 
Expectations 
- As a Senior Architect you support delivery teams in the development of detailed solution roadmaps for a well-defined set of capabilities or logical group of systems, services, or projects. 
- You partner closely with engineers and project management to ensure that implementation meets design expectations. 
- You are proactive in reaching out to architects and leaders in teams with which your technology integrates and you drive results through strong cross-functional collaboration. 
- You serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for capabilities in your portfolio and work actively within the Architecture Community of Practice. 
- In partnership with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Owners, Engineers, and other Architects, you provide leadership in defining project requirements and success criteria along with guiding the design throughout the development lifecycle. 
- Participate and present at architecture design reviews. 
- Proactively align with key stakeholders, seek organizational context, and apply learnings to architecture solutions; be comfortable supporting and communicating with diverse technical and business teams. 
- Evaluate, document, and escalate alterations to future state architectures. 
- Communicate tradeoffs in different types of engineering and architecture processes and adjust your team’s process to meet the needs of the project and others on the team. 
- Contribute to the growth and strength of the architecture community of practice by actively attending and presenting at community events. 
- Influence others through subject-matter expertise and well-documented research. 
Qualifications: 
- BS / BA in technology related discipline or relevant industry experience. 
- Minimum 6 years of real-world experience developing, deploying, scaling, and maintaining software systems: most of this experience should come from working in and around cloud based services at enterprise scale. 
- Relevant industry experience is preferred, with an emphasis on providing governance and enablement for customers in a shift-left environment. 
- Deep hands-on experience using compute, networking, storage, and data components in Amazon AWS with Terraform or equivalent IaC tools. All infrastructure deployed and maintained through CI/CD pipelines. 
- Be able to describe the key services of a given cloud platform and be able to select 
- appropriately for given use cases, e.g. compute, storage, analytics, etc. 
- Deep familiarity with microservices and serverless architectures, and ideally have seen them in operation at a global / enterprise scale. 
- Good understanding of well-architected framework and ability to promote best-practices and provide guidance to help engineers across the organization with cloud adoption. 
- Deep familiarity with managing accounts at scale and managing OU strategy, Landing Zone using Control Tower and extending the capability using CfCT, AFT or other similar automation. 
- Identify and anticipate new tools and platform features which can be leveraged to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company. 
- Design and document modern and efficient systems with good attention to detail

SALARY AND BENEFIT HIGHLIGHTS
We consider a variety of factors when making compensation decisions. We share this to ensure transparency and set expectations for those considering opportunities with us. 
The beginning salary range for this role is $120,000-$140,000.
As you excel at Amplify, there is potential for salary increases and promotions. If you were to remain in this role, there is earning potential for this level of $175,000.
