Medical Assistant
Remedy Health continues to grow and so do our job openings! We are loving our new clinic and our new faces! We are a Primary Care, Functional Medicine, Behavioral Health, Hormone Replacement & Medspa clinic. We have an immediate opening for another full-time Medical Assistant. We are for medical freedom and do not require vaccination.
The position of Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting in procedures under the supervision of physicians and /or nurse practitioners, checking patients into exam rooms, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, phlebotomy, injections, performing EKG's, running minor lab procedures, scribing for providers, keeping up with Health Care Maintenance (HCM) per our ACO (Accountable Care Organization), helping with general office duties, assisting patients any time need is apparent or as directed by the providers. It is necessary for this candidate to follow procedures for patient care and safety, have the ability to work with and cooperate with the providers, staff, and other departments within the clinic to facilitate smooth patient care services. It is also necessary for this person to follow principles of medical ethics for medical assistants, and keep rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies. Other duties may be as assigned as needed including training on, and completing TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatments.
The candidate will also be responsible for answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and other front desk duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Education: Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant course and Medication Aide3 certification or Certified Nursing Assistant with experience will be considered.
-Experience: Preference of at least one year of working experience in a clinic setting.
-Licensure: Current certification in medical assisting preferred.
-CPR Certification- BLS current
-High school or equivalent
SKILLS:
-The ability to function somewhat independently and assume responsibility for those decisions.
-Must be able to work with a large patient population.
-Ability to work well with a wide variety of people and co-workers.
-Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be reliable.
- Adaptable/flexible - enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction. We are constantly learning and growing; this is to be expected and encouraged.
-Positive attitude is a must.

SCHEDULE:
-Monday-Friday with Wednesdays off, the position is full-time 36 to 40 hours a week.
The hired medical assistant will work 2 days at our Bellevue location and 2 days at our Northwest Omaha location. Hours will be 8:00am- 6:00pm Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. 8:00am-3:00pm Friday.
