Financial Processing Services Document Handling Representative

Join us as we work to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all.

We are seeking a Document Handling Representative to join our Financial Processing Services team within our Core Services Division at athenahealth.

Your job would be processing outbound paper claim submissions and incoming healthcare payments on behalf of our clients.

You are action oriented. You have personal ownership and accountability of your work, attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and adaptability in response to changing work conditions and learning opportunities.

The Team : The Financial Processing Services department works Monday through Friday 6 AM to 5 PM. Flexibility is required as days and hours are based on work assignment and business conditions.

Overtime (Saturday work hours) is based on business need.

Typical hours for the document handling team are Mon-Fri 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Standardized manual extraction and batch creation of bulk client payment information using best practices
  • Manually apply signatures to documents as directed / authorized on behalf of clients
  • Meeting production goals of quality and throughput
  • Transporting / delivering racks of mail for processing and full paper bins for recycling
  • Acting in a support role as needed to ensure peers are supported

Typical Qualifications :

  • Strong work ethic including attendance, punctuality, and productivity
  • Willingness and ability to perform repetitive tasks without losing focus
