Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Perform office tasks as needed to maintain efficient operations

-Oral Surgery assisting experience required

Requirements:

- Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management systems
- Understanding of dental coding and HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques
- Strong grasp of infection control protocols
-State of Maryland Radiology License
