Beacon Environmental, located in Bel Air, MD, recently moved to a state-of-the-art facility and is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing team. This position offers excellent growth opportunity with a Maryland based business that is internationally recognized as a leader in the environmental industry. BEACON is a DoD ELAP, NELAP, and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory, that specializes in the analysis of air samples.
BEACON provides an advanced environmental sampling technology that is employed throughout the United States, as well as internationally across more than 45 countries spanning all 7 continents. Standard analytical procedures utilize gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) instrumentation to target trace levels of volatile and semivolatile organic compounds in soil vapor, indoor air, and ambient air. Samples are introduced through thermal desorption; therefore, we do not use bulk solvents in our laboratory and maintain a healthy working environment.
The position will offer an opportunity to work directly with the laboratory director and other chemists to perform analytical methods to target a broad range of organic compounds. Following training, duties include, but are not limited to:
