Work hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:45 pm. This is an on-site position at our Headquarters office in Bedford, Texas.Summary: Under direction of the AVP – Accounting and Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant I completes daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting duties. Main duties and responsibilities include balancing and updating the general ledger and subsidiary accounts, preparing financial statements and reports for the monthly Board packet, reconciling daily cash accounts, and performing other accounting-related duties. The Staff Accountant I reviews inventory schedules and prepares property renditions, verifies and approves wires, charges off loans as approved by the Board, assists with the preparation of tax forms and reports, and performs all other duties as assigned.Requirements: Must have a BBA or BS in Accounting, and a minimum of one year recent relevant experience is preferred. Previous credit union or other financial institution experience preferred.
