WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FORWeseek a hard-working Sr. Data Engineer to play a critical role in thedevelopment of organization's Enterprise Data & Analytics capabilities. You will bepart of an organization focusing on the development and delivery of datasolutions and capabilities for Financial Analytics and data platforms.The successful candidate is motivated by thinking big data, technicallyproficient, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
In this role, you will be part of anagile scrum team, closely partnering with the Product Manager, Lead Engineer,and other team members to deliver data and analytics capabilities to the organization's Financial Analytics organization. You will collaboratively partner withbusiness team members and other technology solution delivery, architecture, andplatform teams.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
As a Senior Data Engineer forFinancial Analytics, you will drive deliverables to completion with hands-ondevelopment responsibilities, and partner with the Lead Engineer to providethought leadership and innovation with those deliverables.
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING:
We are looking for best-in-classtalent that brings the following key skills and experience to this role:
- Bachelor's degree in IT orrelated field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of experience withdetailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructurecomponents, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools.
- 3-5 years’ experience in BigData stack environments (EMR, SPARK, Hive, S3 & Lambda)
- Expertise with relationalSQL.
- Expertise with Python.
- Strong understanding of datastructures and algorithms.
- Strong understanding ofsolution and technical design.
- Has a strong problem solvingand analytical approach.
- Able to quickly pick up new programminglanguages, technologies, and frameworks.
- Sophisticated experiencebuilding cloud scalable, real time and high-performance data lake solutions.
- Experience with source controltools such as GitHub and related dev processes.
- Experience with workflowscheduling tools like Airflow.
- In-depth understanding ofmicro service architecture.
- Strong understanding ofdeveloping sophisticated data solutions.
- Experience working onend-to-end solution design.
- Able to lead others in solvingsophisticated problems by taking a broad perspective to identify innovativesolutions.
- Able to influence andcommunicate optimally, both verbally and written, with team members andbusiness partners.
- Willing to learn new skillsand technologies.
- Has a passion for datasolutions.
