Job Description Summary The GE Aerospace Dayton Cores and Castings Team is going through a tremendous amount of growth. The GE Aerospace Dayton Cores and Castings Team is delivering world class Turbine Airfoil Cores and Castings through speed, innovation, and collaboration by disrupting the industry with manufacturing technology, being the fastest NPI development in the industry, supporting our supply base, and delivering on critical business needs. As a Manufacturing Training Specialist, you will be responsible for the development, deployment, and sustainment of manufacturing training standards for the site as well as supporting employee cross-training and training record retention. In this role you will work in a cross-functional team environment consisting of Operations, Engineering, and Lean to improve the time-to-train, effectiveness, and consistency of training for a growing workforce. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Establish clear and actionable training standards that capture what and how employees are trained. Partner with subject matter experts to create standard assessments that measure progress against the training standard. Update training standards to meet changes in external customer requirements and internal standard work. Create and maintain plans for cross training the workforce that ensure flexibility to meet operational demands. Establish on-the-job recertification guidelines to maintain employee’s skill and sustain operational flexibility. Audit and provide feedback to on-the-job trainers to sustain training standards and support trainer growth. Develop on the job trainer certification requirements measuring soft and hard skill competency. Apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness, and track and report on training outcomes. Apply adult learning principles in training design, presentation, teaching, and evaluation methods. Work with a diverse population base and deliver training that meets the needs of different segments of the workforce. Maintain all training records in accordance with site Quality Management System. Facilitate and improve the New Hire Orientation experience to ensure the employee's successful transition to the site. Administer soft skills training to shopfloor employees to support their professional development. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing) Desired Characteristics Minimum of 3 years of experience in Training Design and Delivery.
