What you will do

• In this role, you will be a valued member of a highly motivated team of engineering professionals committed to manufacturing excellence.
• You will work cross functionally to identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, quality, efficiency, and employee safety.
• You will participate in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen improvement events, Value Stream Mapping Events & line balancing in operations, 5S, ergonomics/safety and workstation design.
• You will develop plant layouts to maximize area square footage and improve safety in all functional departments.
• You will create, improve, and document Standard Operating Procedure and job aids to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• You will perform associate training sessions related to process changes or lean concepts.
• You will work directly with the Maintenance team to improve line equipment reliability and safety improvements.
• You will work with production and quality management to improve manufacturing processes using DMAIC methodology to discover root causes and implement containment actions for problem reduction and elimination. .
• You will work closely with Research and Development (R&D) to improve product performance.

What We Are Seeking

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred) with experience within a manufacturing environment.
• A passion for Lean Manufacturing, including Kaizen improvement events, VSM/line balancing in operations, 5S, ergonomics/safety & workstation design, Six Sigma a plus.
• Proficient AutoCAD and solid modeling (Inventor a plus)
