Heavy Capacity Technician (aka Field Service Technician)

Bay City, MI

Full Time | $20-24 per hour

Join as a Heavy Capacity Technician servicing our Michigan-customer's measurement needs! This autonomous role will utilize your electrical and mechanical expertise to deliver and maintain critical measurement solutions to our industrial customers.

Essential Functions:

• Perform installations, preventative maintenance & calibration, troubleshooting & repair on customer equipment in agriculture and aggregate industries
• Configure electronic measurement equipment to customer specifications
• Act as the "subject-matter-expert" through customer interactions by way of project updates, operator training, and equipment improvements
• Document test and calibration data within GRM's proprietary calibration software system
• Operate heavy machinery such as, forklifts, material lifts, and testing units
• Perform mechanical tasks as it relates to the job e.g. welding, torching
• Travel daily to customer sites across the state, including on-call & (5-10%) overnight stays

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical, electrical and / or technical background in industrial setting
• Experience with Welding & Torching
• Able to obtain CDL and pass an MVR
• Strong communicator with internal and external customers
• Able to lift and carry 50lb weights, repetitively
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
