Job Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of two multifamily apartment communities in Battle Creek, MI. This role offers an hourly wage of $20-$23, along with leasing and renewal commissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager with coordinating and overseeing repairs and unit turnovers
  • Ensure tenant needs are met and foster positive tenant relationships
  • Assist the Community Manager with performing daily, weekly, and monthly property and apartment inspections
  • Work with the Maintenance department and Community Manager to ensure all vacant spaces are market-ready
  • Analyze and review rents
  • Implement practices for expense savings and operational efficiencies
  • Advertise available units using a variety of media and promoting materials,
  • Show units to prospective tenants,
  • Provide organizational and administrative support for the management staff
  • Prepare lease documentation in accordance with the community’s established policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in Leasing or as an Assistant Manager
