Quality Engineer
Looking for a strong and eager Quality Engineer to join an industry leading manufacturing company in the Bartlett area. This is a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for initiating PPAPs and control plans in a metal fabrication environment.
Responsibilities of Quality Engineer:
- Identify and solve process improvements on the shop floor. (Flow of materials, production control and quality control)
- Create SOP and work instructions.
- Create PPAPs and part inspections to customer specifications and requirements.
- Train and develop personnel on the shop floor around laser, press, welding machines.
- Document all trainings and initiatives.
Qualifications of Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Relevant experience without Engineering degree will be considered.
- Lean training (Green/Black belt in six sigma a plus)
- 3 years in a similar role
- Fabrication background a plus
- Working knowledge of metal fabrication; cutting, welding, bending, grinding, etc.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14000 and IATF 16949
- Working knowledge Microsoft Office suite – Excel is most important.
