Responsibilities May Include
- Providing technical services and custom problem-solving support to Phillips 66 Lubricants customers and sales representatives.
- Providing product analysis, data interpretation and written reports to customers regarding product performance or complaints.
- Providing “best practice” advice and recommendations to customers and sales representatives regarding product selection, applications, lube/equipment maintenance and optimization.
- Coordinating and or assisting in major complaint investigations; serve as back-up to field lube engineers.
- Designing and coordinating field tests programs in support of new product development and/or applications.
- Developing, acquiring and maintaining product approvals/registrations with key OEM's and approval organizations.
- Providing technical input and review for the development of technical product literature and training materials, assuring accuracy of product claims and applications.
- Providing industry perspective and knowledge of customer applications within assigned product/segment areas of responsibility.
- Conducting sales and technical presentations (internal, marketers, sales force and consumers).
- Engaging in internal and external communication.
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 3 or more years of direct experience in technical, marketing and sales in lubricants with demonstrated knowledge of lubricants applications.
- 5 or more years of direct experience in presenting to and influencing both internal and external customers.
- 5 or more years of mechanical experience in rotating equipment or plant equipment.
- STLE CLS certification or industry experience.
- Strong communications skills, as well as creative and innovative problem solving skills.
- Ability to plan and organize to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to use strong interpersonal skills and leadership to influence others toward desired results.
