Job Summary:

The Network Administration Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of our computer network infrastructure. The Network Administration Engineer will play a key role in ensuring a secure, reliable, and high-performing network environment to support our business needs. This role is part of a larger Network Administration team and works together directly on various projects.

Responsibilities:

· Design, implement, and maintain our IPv4 network infrastructure, including Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) utilizing Cisco 2960x switches and Palo Alto Firewalls or Cisco ASA equipment.

· Configure and manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

· Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures.

· Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

· Manage and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and change control procedures.

· Collaborate with other IT professionals on network-related projects.

· Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies and best practices.

· Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new network technologies and equipment.

· Manage and maintain relationships with carrier providers for our three (or more) internet connections.

· Provide technical support to network users.

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field required.

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.

· Current CCNA certification highly preferred

· Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and concepts.

· Experience with Cisco networking equipment (including Cisco 2960x switches).

· Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls or Cisco ASA firewalls (preferred).

· Experience with network security concepts and best practices.

· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

· Must be eligible to work in the United States and reside locally.

· Ability to work a standard business schedule in an office environment.

On-Call Requirements:

· This position requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule to address critical network incidents and issues outside of business hours.

· On-call engineers are expected to be reachable by phone and respond to network emergencies within company specific timeframes
