- Assure that the laundry needs of the Residents are completed with regard to personal items and quality of service.
- Assure that the cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas is maintained at the highest standards.
- Has meaningful conversations with residents about the resident’s interests while performing duties.
- Labels laundry per facility policy
- Sorts and handles laundry using proper procedures
- Eliminates crossing of soiled and clean linen.
- Loads washers and dryers at proper weight.
- Adheres to proper policies and procedures for washing, drying and folding laundry
- Stocks linen areas per guidelines
- Picks up and delivers linens to units per schedule.
- Clean rooms, hallways, and other living or work areas
- Change sheets and towels; make beds; and wash, fold, and iron clothes
- Empty wastebaskets and take trash to disposal areas
- Replenish supplies, such as soap and toilet paper
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment
- Sweep, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and other floor-cleaning equipment
- Vacuum rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture
- Clean and polish windows, walls, and woodwork
- Lift and move lightweight objects and equipment
- Utilizes and adheres to appropriate precaution/techniques with hazardous chemicals, blood and body fluids, medical waste, and/or equipment
