Discover your #H2Opportunity **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a **GIS Intern** be based in **Baltimore, Maryland** **.** _This position is expected to begin as soon as possible._ **The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:** Produce high quality, cartographically sound maps, graphics, and figures. Create, manage, edit, and maintain various types of GIS data, including spatial databases. Collect and manage field and survey data using mobile GPS equipment. Transfer data to/from GPS devices and post-process using differential correction. Perform QA/QC review of GIS data and compile metadata. Digitize, scan and georeferenced maps, engineering drawings, and imagery. Automate mapping and geoprocessing tasks using Esri Model Builder and Python. Ability to work in both office and field settings. Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geographic Information Science, Geography, Environmental Science or a related field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating. Candidates must have completed two years of study in their program. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience with ArcGIS Software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online Experience with field data collection and post processing using Survey123 or ESRI Field Maps. **Additional Information** We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
