Job Summary

Reporting to and working closely with the Vice President of Finance, the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for annual operating and capital budgeting, financial analysis, executive and departmental decision support and financial report development functions within Johns Hopkins Care at Home (JHCH). In support of senior leadership, this role serves as the analytical engine of the organization to provide financial insights/decision support and to aid strategic projects. It involves close collaboration with Administrative and Operational leadership within JHCH to identify and quantify opportunities for improvements in financial performance and requires in depth knowledge of operations and effective working relationships. Additionally, this role ensures compliance with JH Home Care and John Hopkins Medicine (JHM) financial policies and proper internal controls. Having an executive presence, this position represents JHCH in various forums across JHM, including the JHCH Finance Committee, and engages with centralized JHM support functions such as the Controller's Office, Financial Analysis Unit, and Budget Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. MBA required.
  • Minimum 7-10 years progressive experience in Business and Finance
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Academic medical center and/or health system preferred
  • Knowledge of corporate finance as it relates to all aspects of health care which may include the following: budget processes; financial analysis for health care programs and projects; cost accounting principles; managed care pricing; monthly financial reporting; benchmarking and other analytical tools.
