A well-established organization is looking for a Controller to wear many hats. Looking for someone who wants to grow into the CFO role, that is opening up in the future due to a retirement!

Responsibilities:

• Provides accurate reconciliation of business accounts. Including, bank statements, inventory reconciliations, and auditing of quarterly, monthly and yearly accounts.
• Financial preparation and analysis of accounts and reporting of financial variances and inaccuracies.
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains item costing models.
• Assists in analysis and approval of sales promotional events.
• Assists with purchasing initiatives and analysis of historical and future costs.
• Maintains internal controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance.
• 7 years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with cost accounting preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Compensation: $170k - $185k
