Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
The Practice Manager participates in the growth of the ambulatory behavioral health and pediatric practices by overseeing all aspects of the department’s functions, including customer service, registration, insurance verification, and clinical performance. The Practice Manager strives to provide the department directors with detailed information regarding clinical productivity, volume, and other metrics to facilitate the expansion of services and enhance clinical efficiency. The Practice Manager is responsible for the training and monitoring of nonclinical staff; the oversight of coverage of the front desk; and the implementation of services that comply with all regulatory requirements.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High School Diploma
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a multi-physician practice setting
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
- Must have a working knowledge of revenue cycle management, medical billing, and insurance verification
- Must have a working knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Must have a working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
