Description : Waterjet Operator Temp to HireMonday - Friday7 : 15a - 4 : 00p$19-$20 DOE Summary of Position : Primarily operates the Waterjet Machine to cut alloy sheets and plates according to the given specifications, sketches or shop travelers.
Responsibilities and Duties :
As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Waterjet Operator.
These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
Expected to not only interpret sketches but to draw all orders on the machine's CAD Program, read shop orders and other related technical data, in order to determine the machine's set up and control settings.
Retrieve material from the plate racks using overhead crane, forklift or handcart.
Draw or nest parts for cutting in order to maximize yield and minimize waste.
After cutting, each cut piece in inspected, measured, marked as well as the return piece.
Responsible for the proper marking of alloy, spec, heat and size of piece on the material.
Scanning on and off the order being processed and for processing any paperwork associated with the order, including bar code tags, cycle counts, as well as exception report inventory counts.
Maintain the waterjet machine by loading all garnet, inspecting bellows, hoses, pumps, filters, flow meters and various pressure fittings around the machine.
Repair minor leaks as well as keep the cutting heads clean to avoid damage due to clogs.
Visualize part placement on starting stock and be able to layout cut patterns in his head.

Frequent visual / auditory attention and involvement required to place tags on appropriate materials
Requires continuous use of computer to receive and give information
Requirements : "High School Diploma or equivalent with some business college related courses
Three years warehouse experience
One year waterjet machine, plasma, or like machine experience
Must have math and general geometry skills
Working knowledge of computer drawing software
Strong work ethic; self-motivated
Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good organizational, problem solving skills, and time management skills
Ability to effectively multi-task and work independently on assigned tasks"Must have clear Drug Screen & Background results
