Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Plans,prioriti z es,assigns,supervises,reviews,andparti c ipatesintheworkofstaffresponsibleforsecurity.
- Establishesschedulesandmethods forp r ovidi n g securityservices;identi f iesreso u rceneeds;reviewsneedswithappropriate m a n a gementstaff;allocatesresourcesaccordingly.
- Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Meets standards by contributing security/safety information to strategic plans and reviews; implements quality, and customer-service standards; resolves problems.
- Participatesinthepreparationandad m i nistrat i onofthesecurity b udget;sub m itsbudgetrec o mmenda t ions; m onitorsexpenditures;s u b m itsjustificationsforequipment; m onitorsbud g etexpenditu r es; identifies variances; implements corrective actions.
- Associate degree in criminal justice, business or other related or equivalent experience.
- Completion of International Association of Hospital Security and Safety Basic Security Officer and Supervisory and Safety training certification programs within the first year of employment.
- One year security experience in a healthcare facility.
- Four y earsofincreasinglyresponsiblesecurityexpe r ienceincludingso m eleadsuperviso r yexperience.
- Criminal free record.
- Valid state driver’s license, which meets company’s insurance requirements.
Three years of progressive supervisory experience in a health care environment.
