In our time of Company growth, we seek a Financial Counselor.

Work Location: Bradenton, FL

As part of this role, you will:

• Provides enrollment assistance which may include completing coverage applications, gathering required documents and troubleshooting the enrollment process for discount health services, uninsured children and adults to access subsidized, low-cost and free health insurance programs through the health insurance Marketplace, Medicaid, Kidcare and Medicare.
• Provides structured patient education on health coverage engages in follow-up conversations and offers renewal assistance for enrolled individuals.
• Distributes materials as directed by supervisor to patients, community members, partner organizations and businesses to build coverage option awareness.
• Attends community events as directed by supervisor where there is a need to build awareness of coverage options.
• Provides enrollment activities at various local agencies as directed by supervisor.
• Attends and successfully completes all required training programs; participates in conference calls, webinars, and other professional development opportunities.
• Accurately provides required reporting in Excel and Microsoft word to track goal achievement and client satisfaction.
• Ability to successfully obtain ACA Marketplace Certification and other certifications as needed to provide enrollment activities
• Responsible for working with the billing department to verify patient balances and establish payment plans.
• Provide information to patients about payment plans, creates payment plans and agreements.
• Responsible for notifying supervisor or Outreach & Eligibility Director of immediate or pending system errors.
• Runs Medicaid verification for all dates of service for eligibility on self-pay patients and sends a notice to billing if the service date is eligible.
