Job Description:
The Storage/Backup Engineer plays a critical role in managing and maintaining our storage and backup environments, both OnPrem and in the cloud. This position assists the senior engineer in ensuring the efficient operation, functionality, and stability of our storage and backup systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up backup and recovery processes for all production systems.
Configure storage arrays for optimal performance and reliability.
Set up backup and recovery processes while ensuring data integrity and security.
Troubleshoot NAS and SAN storage solutions as well as backup issues as they arise.
Monitor storage and backup performance, resource utilization, and system logs to identify and proactively resolve issues.
Perform general system administration duties for backup systems and storage.
Collaborate as a technical resource on assigned projects, including testing and response to system changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
