- Works in collaboration with the Managing Chef to help with the development of menus.
- Maintains cleanliness of dining room and kitchen and assure preparation and handling of food in accordance to sanitary and with national and local standards.
- Requisition food, supplies and equipment.
- Inspect and taste food for quality.
- Helps in the ordering of food, as needed by Director of Food Services.
- Inspect and supervise serving of food.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of food served.
- Assure preparation of sufficient quantities of food in time to meet meal schedules.
- Assure storage of perishables and avoidance of food spoilage and waste.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and a variety of employees.
- 1 year of experience as a Cook (or related)
- Experience in the area of sanitation, hygiene, & food preparation.
