MACHINE OPERATOR POSITION This position requires the basic set up and operation of machine-Header or Threader-under supervision of the Team Lead and Supervisor. The machine operator will learn to operate assigned machine and produce quality parts by following the quality training provided. This is an entry level position with the ability to progress as skills are mastered. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFollow all safety rules.Maintain clean, orderly work areaOperate equipment and perform basic machine set-ups as required.Perform hourly inspection checks to monitor the quality of parts.Perform the duties required to record data for SPC, ISO/QS documentation.Move material by operating a forklift or using non-motorized devices. Perform minor machine maintenance such as checking oil levels, adding grease as needed and visual inspection of the machines.Assist other operators as needed.EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Use math skills for blueprint reading, gaging and SPC.Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements to perform basic and repetitive work assignments.Provide written communication as needed.Required HS Diploma/GED OR relevant experience.
