Lake County is Hiring a Clinical Compliance Auditor Near Avenue, IL

The Clinical Compliance Auditor is a critical member of our Clinical Compliance team who assists in maintaining clinical compliance within Federally Qualified Health Centers and Behavioral Health programs. Under the supervision of the Clinical Compliance Manager, activities include but are not limited to visiting our health centers and behavioral health sites to observe and assess clinical workflows and reinforce adherence to current standards, protocols, guidelines, and grant criteria; conducting and documenting reviews, and participating in audit activity to ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the following:
    • Patient-Centered Medical Home
    • Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) Standard Operating Procedures/Policies
    • Standards for Joint Commission Accreditation and Certification
    • Bureau of Primary Health Care Uniform Data Systems Measures
    • Other federal/state requirements as needed
  • Performs clinical audits based on current standards, protocols, guidelines, and grant criteria. 
  • Conducts and documents clinical process and chart reviews according to specific standards, protocols, guidelines, and grant criteria. 
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of the electronic health record for conducting chart audits in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Assists Clinical Compliance Nurse in developing and updating audit tools in accordance with current regulatory standards. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to run programmatic reports using software such as NextGen and Tableau. 
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills in collaboration with others as appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains a basic knowledge of services available at the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Centers (LCHD/CHC).
  • Develops and maintains a basic awareness of the Chronic Care Model Processes to reduce Health Disparities within our communities.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and encourages adherence to National Patient Safety Goals.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities to assess, monitor, and improve program services.
  • Participates in mandatory clinical drills and attends staff meetings and other in-service trainings.
  • Performs duties in a prioritized, organized, and orderly manner to maximize clinic efficiency and productivity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Certified Medical Assistant(CMA)
  • One year of medical office experience in an ambulatory setting.
  • One year of direct patient care experience is desired.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office/Outlook, Word, Excel, and electronic health records.
  • Ability to maintain and keep records.
