Service Advisor

Job Summary:

VACUTEK Rental & Sales, a premier dealer for mobile equipment serving municipal and private contractors in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Writer to join our team. Essential Functions:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers requiring service or repairs for vacuum excavation street sweepers and refuse equipment.

- Demonstrate exceptional customer service by building strong relationships with contractors and municipalities, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.

- Assess customer service needs accurately and provide detailed information on service options, costs, and timelines.

- Create and maintain detailed service orders, documenting customer information, equipment specifications, and service performed.

- Schedule service appointments and coordinate with the service department to ensure timely completion of repairs.

- Assist customers with warranty claims, ensuring proper documentation and efficient processing.

- Collaborate closely with the service department to ensure the availability of necessary parts and materials for repairs.

- Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the service provided and address any additional needs or concerns.

- Stay updated on the latest advancements in vacuum excavation street sweepers and refuse equipment to provide expert technical support and guidance to customers and the sales team.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor in a similar role, preferably in a heavy-duty truck dealership or related industry.
• Technical aptitude to effectively interact with the service department and customers.
• Familiarity with vacuum excavation street sweepers and refuse equipment is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document service orders and customer information.
• -Ability to multitask and prioritize service requests in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Sense of Urgency with a desire to serve is essential

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to move around the office, retrieve files, and operate office equipment.

Must be able to operate a computer and landline phone efficiently.
