Terminal Manager

Location: Initially Conly, GA (transitioning to Austell, GA within a month)

Company Overview: Cargomatic is a leading logistics and transportation company, seamlessly connecting shippers and carriers using groundbreaking technology to make freight transportation more efficient. We are seeking a skilled Terminal Manager to oversee operations at our terminal initially located in Conly, GA, with a planned relocation to Austell, GA. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our expansion, particularly within our port business operations.

Role Summary: As the Terminal Manager, you will manage a fleet of 15 trucks, ensuring operational excellence and efficient management of our container and drayage dispatch operations. Your primary focus will be to oversee the migration of these operations to our capacity team, enhancing our service delivery and operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the terminal, ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and optimize a fleet of 15 trucks, with a focus on achieving a minimum of 159 loads per week.
• Lead the transition of terminal operations from Conly, GA to Austell, GA, ensuring seamless relocation and minimal disruption to operations.
• Develop strategies to increase efficiency and productivity within the terminal operations, particularly in expanding our port business segment.
• Maintain and enhance customer relationships, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
• Implement and oversee dispatch operations specific to drayage and container transportation.
• Collaborate with the Cargomatic capacity team to integrate terminal operations and align with broader company objectives.
• Prepare reports and analyze data to monitor performance and implement improvements.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring professional growth.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in terminal or logistics management, specifically within port business operations.
• Extensive knowledge and operational experience in drayage or container dispatch.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to manage the transition of the terminal location from Conly to Austell, GA.
• Proficient in using technology to improve operational efficiencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in rail and port logistics, particularly within the Atlanta area.

This role is budgeted at $65,000 and will not go beyond that amount.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
