Mission and Scope

The IT Director is responsible for carrying out Car Toys’ IT (Information Technology) strategy and all day-to-day IT operation of all IT systems related to supporting Car Toys. The role is responsible for managing vendor service relationships within these business units. This role also provides direct user support for those services. The Director is a strong partner to Business users/owners and stakeholders of the company’s systems related to Service Delivery, Incident Management, Field Deployments, and related reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure and Application Delivery Function

• Provide leadership, vision and direction to the IT organization and Business teams as relates to the IT needs for all company strategies
• Promotes projects' adherence to the defined business case process and provides accurate and effective estimating and planning in terms of the technology aspect of company projects
• Lead IT infrastructure and application delivery
• Ensure a positive end user experience for team members
• Manage any service provider(s) performance of the services agreed to by the master services agreement for consistency, with both the spirit and the letter of the agreement
• Incident management: incidents tracked, categorized, and addressed based on priorities as defined and negotiated with key business stakeholders/system users, clearly defined and documented communication and escalation processes.
• Manage and monitor escalated service provider issues, change management processes, and escalation procedures within the company to minimize the impact of any client service delivery issues
• Provide employee support services: on‐boarding/off‐boarding, user ID & password management, access issues, requests, etc.
• PC, printer and other end‐point deployment, tracking, service, disposal, and general life cycle management.
• Problem management: Root cause analysis, problem management reporting and follow through

Security and Controls

• Responsible for IT security and compliance
• Manage business risk by ensuring the appropriate information and system access is provided and maintained across all lines of business and channels.
• Protect data center security and access.
• Define security and control points in processes, and ensure adherence.
• Review contracts and potential contracts to ensure protection of data, information and access to company systems
• Responsible for company’s timely incident response
• Manage the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans

Lead a High-Performing Team

• Creates vision, clear direction, and strategy for the team
• Establishes, manages, and coaches team with clear objectives and performance expectations
• Attracts, motivates, develops, trains and retains highly skilled associates

Supplier and Vendor Management

• Select, negotiate, and manage relevant vendor services relationships, with an eye to providing seamless and uninterrupted support services to all lines of business across all channels.

Business Partnership

• Service provider and advisor to Car Toys lines of business providing predictable and reliable end user services across all lines of business and all channels.

Cost Center Management

• Achieve all cost center budgets for IT areas and related capital expenditures. Maximize savings and efficiencies in accounts.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8‐10 years of experience leading an IT team in a multi-unit retail environment. Experience can include leading part of an IT organization in comparable customer focused organizations.
• Four‐year degree in Information Systems or related technical field or equivalency of education and work experience.
• Proven people leadership and team building skills – must have experience leading, coaching, and growing talent.

This position has a salary rate of $150,000 - $180,000 per year.
