Caregiver
Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes or in a healthcare facility
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and errands
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Document patient care activities and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Skills:
- Experience in providing care to individuals in a home care or assisted living setting
- Knowledge of caregiving systems and techniques
- Familiarity with Hospice care principles and practices
- Proficient in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Strong patient care skills and ability to provide compassionate support
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics
