The Senior Production Lead is responsible for directly overseeing Production Operators. They will maintain accountability for all operators and drive metrics on safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and continuous improvement. This role is crucial for achieving production schedules to meet customer needs.

Essential Functions:

• Prioritize and direct daily operations to ensure timely job completion for supplying the manufacturing lines.
• Enforce safety procedures among operators and actively promote safety awareness and improvements.
• Schedule work activities for operators to achieve on-time delivery targets and minimize delinquency.
• Ensure jobs run according to schedule in assigned work cells.
• Identify and address bottlenecks and constraints within the cell.
• Schedule resources effectively based on capacity demands.
• Actively participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities.
• Review methods and procedures, recommending improvements to drive lean initiatives.
• Complete daily transactions in Oracle.
• Maintain accurate inventory in each area.
• Review weekly reports for accuracy.
• Provide support to other functional groups within the company.
• Communicate daily with cross-functional teams such as customer service, engineering, technicians, quality, and manufacturing supervisors as necessary.
• Support new operator training and work on the line as required.
• Schedule overtime based on capacity demands.
• Conduct 5 Whys and Fishbones analyses.
• Assist in resolving any issues or problems.
• Maintain a culture of accountability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to lead, set an example, and direct teams to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
• Proficiency in reading and comprehending written and verbal instructions, as well as effective communication skills.
• Computer familiarity, including data entry skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform various transactions in Oracle.
• Self-starting attitude with the ability to follow directives and achieve results.
• Consistent and punctual attendance.
• Availability for assigned shifts and required overtime.
• Eligibility for ITAR clearance.

• Perform physical or administrative tasks involved in production lines.
• Conduct and record inventory cycle counts.
• Track information on spreadsheets.
• Communicate daily with members inside and outside the company.
• Adhere to safety procedures, housekeeping guidelines, and ethical practices.
• Availability for regular overtime.
• Submit Maximo's for equipment downtime impacting the line.
• Update operator attendance in ADP as needed.
• Collaborate with Supervisor to define necessary overtime and training for operators.
• Attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Oracle experience preferred.
• Perform other related duties as specified.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
