Duties:
- Provide accurate and efficient translation of written documents in Spanish, Portuguese, Creole, and other languages.
- Interpret spoken language in various settings such as meetings, conferences, and interviews.
- Ensure cultural sensitivity and understanding in all translations and interpretations.
- Assist in bridging communication gaps between individuals who speak different languages.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive information.
Experience:
- Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole is highly desirable.
- Ability to effectively communicate, interpret, and translate between multiple languages.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
- Background in linguistics or a related field is advantageous.
- Previous experience as a bilingual translator or interpreter is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable.
