JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a skilled Audiovisual Technician to manage all technical aspects of audio and video recordings for our oral history project at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. This role requires proficiency in handling, setting up, and maintaining audiovisual equipment, as well as troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during interviews.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

• Manage and set up all audio and video equipment for oral history interviews.
• Ensure the technical quality of audio and video recordings meets archival standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during recording sessions.
• Assist in the editing and final production stages of project deliverables.

SCHEDULE OF WORK

• Full-time, 40 hours per week. The project duration is from August 2024 to September 2026.

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE

• Work will primarily be conducted within the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, Atlanta, GA, with potential visits to interviewees' locations in the Greater Atlanta area.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

• The contract will last approximately 24 months, beginning in August 2024.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical degree or certification in Audio/Video Production, Broadcasting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in audio and video equipment setup and management.
• Familiarity with modern audiovisual technology and editing software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to travel locally to various interview sites.
