This role is responsible for helping to manage a portfolio of high quality small-cap stocks, focusing on companies with strong fundamentals, durable competitive advantages, and attractive valuations. You will be responsible for all aspects of the investment process, from generating ideas to portfolio construction, risk management, marketing and client service.Responsibilities:Conduct in-depth fundamental research to identify attractive investment opportunities in the small-cap universe.Develop and implement an investment strategy focused on high-quality companies with sustainable growth potential.Construct and manage a diversified portfolio of small-cap stocks, adhering to risk management guidelines.Monitor portfolio performance and make adjustments as needed.Stay abreast of market trends and developments in the small-cap space.Generate insightful investment commentary and presentations.Participate in team meetings and investment discussions.Build and maintain relationships with company managements and other investment professionals.QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of experience managing high quality small-cap equity portfolios.Proven track record of success in generating alpha.Strong understanding of fundamental analysis and valuation techniques.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.CFA designation or equivalent experience highly preferred.Deep knowledge of the small-cap universe and industry trends.Morgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
