Job Summary:

As janitorial staff member, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities on a consistent basis. This position can also be asked to perform additional tasks. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. 
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in a sanitary manner. 
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks and floors. 
• Ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper and soap. 
• Clean windows, mirrors and glass surfaces as needed. 
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of common areas, including hallways, lobby, and breakrooms. 
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or fixing small leaks. 
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines at all times. 
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. 
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interaction with staff and visitors. 

Requirements

Skills:

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred by not required. 
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. 
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks. 
• Effective communication skills to effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors. 
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including bending, lifting, and sanding for extended periods of time. 
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
