Katahdin Valley Health Center is Hiring an IT Coordinator Near Ashland, ME

POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Coordinator will provide basic level of technical user support necessary for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all KVHC hardware, software and technology. The person in this role will provide complete backup and support for the Information Technology Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform routine diagnostic and preventative maintenance on-site for computer information systems and related equipment.

2. Install, configure, move, and maintain network equipment including servers, routers, switches and equipment including PC’s monitors, scanners, phones, and printers.

3. Provide assistance and training to users with varying technical abilities on the use of hardware and software.

4. Develop and continuously maintain a level of knowledge of KVHC software and its functions, and capabilities.

5. Complete hardware support, including installations, routine diagnostics and preventative maintenance.

6. Assist in maintaining all KVHC system securities and integrity with network software and system file backup, antivirus, spam filtering, VPN and others.

7. Assist in orientation of new employees on all aspects of KVHC technical programs.

8. Provide in-house trainings on Microsoft Office Suite Programs.

9. Provide excellent customer service to all staff at KVHC and respond to IT work order requests and track results.

10. Ability to effectively troubleshoot technical problems in a timely manner

11. Assist in inventory maintenance of all IT assets as well as documentation of configurations, procedures, functions, etc.

12. Perform system implementations and assemble and deploy the resources necessary to ensure successful implementations.

13. Assist in the maintenance of the Wide Area Networks by providing technical support

14. Complete administration of all KVHC Web-sites.

15. Keep current and actively participate in/with all IS User groups, vendor supported programs, and our partner organizations.

16. Actively participate in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Internet and MIS Committees.

17. Available to be on call after hours and on duty in the absence of the IT Manager.

18. Must have the ability to work independently and under deadlines.

19. Other Duties as assigned by the Information Technology Manager.

20. Conducts themselves as a good steward in the communities served by KVHC; represents the organization at outreach activities as needed.

21. Actively participates as committee member as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

22. Interacts harmoniously and effectively with others. Focusing on the attainment of organization goals and objectives through a commitment to team work.

23. Conforms to acceptable attendance and punctuality standards as expressed in the employee handbook.

24. Abides by the organization’s compliance program and requirements
