DOT Program SpecialistThis position is responsibility for DOT program management and regulatory compliance for the 8 registered Land O’Lakes Commercial Fleets subject to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements.

This encompasses drivers and vehicles. This role supports all Fleets in training, implementing performance standards, new hire, and standardizing best practices to reduce risk.

Required Experience / Knowledge / Skills (to be able to perform this job) :

2-5 years of experience with DOT Regulatory Compliance

High School Diploma or GED

Substantial expertise in DOT 49 CFR Driver & D&A regulations

Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate / collaborate with multiple levels of the organization to improve efficiencies while ensuring compliance

Critical thinking skills and detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills

Understand the distribution, transportation, and warehousing of agricultural commodities

Identify opportunities to make changes to improve processes and procedures, address weaknesses in process and implement a solution

Strong organizational skills, able to balance multiple priorities and projects with the capability to make course corrections quickly when needed

Independently makes sound, informed decisions, particularly under time pressure

Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently without supervision

Translate and communicate regulations, laws, and policies, to provide guidance for others who are not direct reports to stay compliant with Federal and State regulations

  • Organizational Support - Upholds organizational values and meets productivity standards; Follows policies and procedures;
  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Follows instructions and responds to management direction; Uses time efficiently;

Prioritizes and completes tasks accurately and in a timely manner, detail oriented and time-sensitive minded; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals

Accurately interpret and communicate regulations, and policies

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) & LOL communication platforms

Preferred Experience / Knowledge / Skills :

5 years of experience with DOT Regulatory Compliance

4 year degree or higher

Salary : $80,- $90,based on experience
