Qualifications:

• Aquatic experience and passion working with children
• Thorough knowledge and application of teaching swimming and water safety skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to uphold HealthSPORT mission, values, and building blocks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
• Ability to work flexible hours (not shifts)
• Ability to use a computer and/or smartphone to access your work schedule, clock-in/clock-out, follow through checklists, and reply in a timely manner to work related emails and/or messages.
• Maintain current CPR/AED Certification – adult/infant/child

Reports to: Pool Programs Coordinator

Position Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time (Schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain a safe, effective, nurturing, and engaging environment.
• Responsible for the proper instruction of all swim lessons.
• Be prepared, on time, and ready to work
• Be a customer service representative in the pool area.
• Follow HealthSPORT’s swim lesson programming and communication procedures
• Establishes positive public relations with parents/guardians of class students helping them recognize and understand swimming developments and achievements.
• Complete Activity Report when your lessons are complete.
• Enforce pool safety standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities
• Present professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Communicate diligently and effectively with students, parents, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties if assigned.
