ColWill Engineering Technology, Inc. division is looking for a highly motivated Access Control Technician in the Apopka, FL area to join our team.

What this Role will Do:

An Access Control Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security and access control systems. They ensure the safety and security of premises by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting access control systems such as card readers, intercoms and CCTV systems. They also provide advice and support to customers on the best access control systems for their needs and are expected to be knowledgeable of new technologies as they emerge.

Role Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and educate the customer on access control systems manufactured by Paxton, Brivo, Schlage, Verkada, Avigilon and Honeywell. Must have door hardware experience like cutting in strikes and installing maglocks.
• Install, maintain, and educate the customer on I.P. Based CCTV systems manufactured by Paxton, Verkada, Avigilon, InVid, and Northern.
• Install, maintain, and educate the customer on Valcom analog & IP paging systems, clocks, and bells.
• Install, maintain, and educate the customer on Honeywell Vista 20P and Vista 128BPT alarm systems to include cellular communicators.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Some networking experience will be needed for setting up these systems.
• Good technical knowledge and experience in electronic access control systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Skills in leadership and organization a MUST.
