Pay Rates are based on experience :

Level 2 techs (6 months to 18 months of low voltage, cabling, fiber, HVAC, or electrical experience) - $19 to $22 per hour , depending on experience.

Level 3 techs (18 months to 3 years of low voltage structured cabling and / or fiber experience) $23 to $26 per hour , depending on experience.

Lead techs (Experince leading teams of low voltage / fiber techs in a commerical / construction environment) $27 to $30 per hour , depending on experience.

Shifts are Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm. No weekends required. Techs can expect roughly 10 hours of overtime, weekly.

Job Description :

Our client needs 15 experienced cable / fiber techs to pull and terminate Cat5 / 6 cable and / or fiber for a major structured cabling project in Siler City, NC.

Techs will be paid between $19-$30 per hour, depending on field experience, leadership experience, and certifications. Terms of the contract are 6 months, with the ability to extend, or even convert permanently with the client after the 6 month window.

This is a new construction job that will require techs to wear steel toed boots and use PPE (the client will provide the PPE).

OSHA 10 certifications are required prior to start date. If techs do not have their OSHA 10 certification prior to being hired, they will be required to get certified, at their own cost, prior to walking in for orientation.

The lead tech and level 3 tech will need steel toed boots, a punchdown tool with 66 and 110 blades, snipes, a power drill, and knife.

They will be running, terminating, and testing cable, hanging using J hooks, and training junior and mid level techs when needed.

Lead techs will run a crew of 2-5 techs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

Customer facing skills will be highly desired. They need to be presentable, articulate, and able to work in a team environment.

All techs must have a willingness to work hard and learn the methods of the client.
