Facility Robot Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will oversee the robots and sensors on site with the support of the Monarch Robot Specialist and Administrator and Department Heads.

They will receive the robot, work with the graduate students and implement the robots and sensor. This position will engage site level staff in using the robots, support site level staff in education on the robots and utilization of the robots, and maintaining the robots.

They will ensure the day to day operations of the robots and work with staff and the graduate students in order to ensure robots are utilized daily in an optimal manner.

This position will work with residents, staff, families and the local community on awareness, education, and promotion of the success of using robots.

KNOWLEDGEABLE AND RESOURCEFUL IN ROBOTICS PROGRAM

  • Works with local robotics clubs and supports high school and college summer healthcare interns with robots where appropriate.
  • Assists to ensure the robot strategy succeeds by identifying and removing barriers, ensuring program success, helping to expand the use / deployment of robots in the current project, and identify ways to further expand the use of this and other robots / automation further within the nursing home environment.
  • Assists line staff to work with the robots, develop a comfort level, and help ensure the robot experience draws excitement and support residents, staff, families and the local community.
  • Assists with ongoing use of data collection equipment.

PROMOTES AND ESTABLISHES HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS AND USES PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT WITH RESIDENTS, FAMILIES, VISITORS, SUPERVISORS, AND CO-WORKERS

  • Arrives at work area on time and ready to begin. Is able to prioritize and be organized and efficient when interacting and communicating.
  • Follows policy on absenteeism, tardiness, and call-ins as outlined in Personnel Policy Manual.
  • Is courteous and cooperative with residents, families, visitors, supervisors and co-workers.
  • Follows dress code, wears name tag, and limits personal phone call.
  • Promotes a positive and professional image both in the facility and in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Experience / Education

High School Degree or equivalent, or currently in High School.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to work with or without supervision and be a team player.
  • Ability to clearly speak and proficiently read and write in English.
  • Ability to take direction and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must qualify for employment, after criminal background check, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
