Become a pivotal part of Minnesota Irrigation, a thriving division of Landscapes Unlimited with fifteen years of irrigation installation and maintenance experience. As an Irrigation Technician, you’ll drive our operations forward, reporting directly to the President of Minnesota Irrigation. This is an hourly position that offers commissions and bonuses based on performance.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Irrigation Technician, you’ll be able to work independently in the field to maintain, service and install irrigation systems. You would represent Minnesota Irrigation in promoting water efficiency and proper horticultural practices while communicating with clients and troubleshooting their irrigation systems.

• Troubleshooting irrigation systems for maintenance and repairs
• Strive to exceed customer expectations in quality and service
• Monitor water usage and adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions, seasonal changes, and specific plant requirements
• Recommend and implement water-saving technologies and practices to promote sustainable irrigation practices
• Assist in the safe and efficient installation of irrigation systems
• Follow all policies and procedures
• Be able to communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone and/or in person.

• Experience with irrigation system installation, maintenance and/or repair
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Maintain a valid Minnesota driver’s license
• Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of irrigation system components, including pipes, valves, pumps, and controllers
• Strong understanding of irrigation principles, hydraulics, and water conservation practices
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Spanish is a bonus. 
• Ability to use a smart phone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting

• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions throughout the year
• Ability to operate machinery, commercial vehicles, small engine equipment and/or power tools, as needed
• Capable of lifting/carrying materials up to 50 lbs.
• Requires periods of walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting
