Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer based in our Andover, MA facility. You would be member of Secure Power Division which provides “certainty of power” to the digital world, under “APC” Brand.
The ME will be joining a cross functional product development team responsible for creating high value power protection solutions for customers worldwide. You would resolve customer pain points related to design, installation, maintenance, and replacement of products. You would be responsible from concept design to mass production of sheet metal and/or plastic product enclosures, IT racks, subassemblies, cables, heatsinks, cooling and packaging solutions.
What will you do?
Apply your experience with 3D modeling, manufacturing, and assembly processes to produce high value world class product designs.
Analyze new designs using FEA, CFD, and DFM/DFA tools as needed.
Hands on involvement in product branding and industrial design development.
Plan and support design verification testing, tooling fabrication, and industrialization in SE factories.
Interact with worldwide vendors and factories and bring best practice to the team.
Assist with vendor selection and qualification with cost, quality, and sustainability as key metrics
Responsible for material documentation, component drawings, BOM and ECO.
