Find Great People | FGP is Hiring a Clinical Nutrition Manager Near Anderson, SC

  • Demonstrates competence to provide developmentally appropriate care/treatment for the following patient populations: Infant (Birth to 1 year); Child (1 year through 12 years); Adolescent (13 through 17 years); Adult (18 years to 65 years); Geriatric (over 65 years).
  • Ensures appropriate nutritional care for all patients with prescribed modes of nutrition including oral, enteral, and parenteral methods.
  • Establishes policies and procedures for clinical nutrition services and diet office for optimum efficiency of operations. Continually reviews and revises procedures to ensure continued efficiency and best practices standards of care.
  • Develops and submits annual goals for clinical dietetics staff.
  • Conducts quality assurance checks and maintains quality assurance records.
  • Maintains an approved Nutrition Care Manual reflecting currently accepted nutritional theories of diet therapy.
  • Responsible for interview and selection of Dietitians and Dietary Assistants.
  • Maintains performance records on Dietitians and Patient Services/Production Manager; Conducts annual performance evaluations and merit reviews. Counsels and disciplines where necessary.
  • Develops job descriptions and performance standards for Dietitians, Patient Services/Production Manager, and Dietary Assistants. Revises as needed to reflect current duties of the job.
  • Conducts dietitians meetings and attends supervisor and department meetings as called.
  • Maintains an effective rapport with medical staff. Provides educational nutrition information to physicians as requested or by other creative methods. Utilizes appropriate routes for communication of pertinent information to medical staff and other hospital personnel.
  • Conducts food services segment of nursing orientation as needed.
  • Investigates and resolves complaints of Clinical Nutrition Services or services related to Diet Office operations.
  • Provides input on departmental revision of patient menus and holiday menus.
  • Develops a departmental quality assurance program for clinical functions. Revises program periodically as appropriate.
  • Maintains records of dietitians’ continuing education attendance.
  • Conducts departmental inservices as needed on clinical nutrition related topics.
  • Maintains CBORD Diet Office Management system. Makes necessary changes to add/delete food items, to ensure dietary compliances, and to accommodate holiday menus. Oversees the training of new diet office employees on its use.
  • Reviews and approves all new educational materials before purchase, printing, and/or distribution.
  • Responsible for monitoring the Nutrition Support provided by the Clinical Nutrition team.
  • Evaluates all enteral products for clinical efficacy.
  • Serves as a resource person for nursing and medical staff on topics related to nutrition support.
  • Keeps hospital staff informed of operational and clinical changes related to tube feedings and total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Coordinates lectures to nursing and medical staff as needed.
  • Plans, coordinates, and participates in community service events such as health fairs, food demonstrations, public speaking, grocery store tours, etc.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by the Director of Environmental & Nutrition Services.
  • Maintains an optimistic, professional, career oriented demeanor (positive role model) as leader within the AnMed Health community. Exemplifies excellent customer relations toward patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers. Holds herself/himself and subordinates accountable for conformity to the Guest Relations policy.
