Essential Functions: • Weld together metal parts, components, or structures; perform detailed welding techniques • Have the ability to weld MIG on stainless steel and mild steel • Have the ability to weld TIG on stainless and mild steel as well as aluminum • File, sand, grind, or polish metal • Burn (cut), trim, or scarf metal objects • Lay out machining, welding or precision assembly projects • Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand • Ability to use a PC and basic hand tools • Ability to read, understand and identify blueprints and materials needed for each job • Ability to identify thread sizing • Must be able to use various measuring devices • Construct patterns or templates for welding projects • Meet quality expectations by examining products or work to verify conformance to specifications and having attention to detail • Understand and follow work instructions as applicable • Comply with standard work practices and SOPs • Segregate nonconforming or suspected nonconforming material real time and notify supervisor • Maintain welding machines or equipment; keep area organized and clean • Complies with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures While this list is representative of essential job duties, it is not an all-inclusive list of duties required to perform this role. Other duties may be assigned to fulfill Donaldson’s mission, vision, and strategic plan objectives Qualifications: ▪ High school diploma/GED required ▪ A minimum of two (2) years trade related ▪ Mill experience (preferred) ▪ Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal. ▪ Flexibility and agility in an ever-changing environment ▪ Consistent attendance and punctuality ▪ Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. • Stand, sit, stoop, kneel or crouch for an extended amount of time • Working in and/or around loud machinery • The ability to handle repetitive motion Employment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
