Essential Functions: • Weld together metal parts, components, or structures; perform detailed welding techniques • Have the ability to weld MIG on stainless steel and mild steel • Have the ability to weld TIG on stainless and mild steel as well as aluminum • File, sand, grind, or polish metal • Burn (cut), trim, or scarf metal objects • Lay out machining, welding or precision assembly projects • Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand • Ability to use a PC and basic hand tools • Ability to read, understand and identify blueprints and materials needed for each job • Ability to identify thread sizing • Must be able to use various measuring devices • Construct patterns or templates for welding projects • Meet quality expectations by examining products or work to verify conformance to specifications and having attention to detail • Understand and follow work instructions as applicable • Comply with standard work practices and SOPs • Segregate nonconforming or suspected nonconforming material real time and notify supervisor • Maintain welding machines or equipment; keep area organized and clean • Complies with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures While this list is representative of essential job duties, it is not an all-inclusive list of duties required to perform this role. Other duties may be assigned to fulfill Donaldson’s mission, vision, and strategic plan objectives Qualifications: ▪ High school diploma/GED required ▪ A minimum of two (2) years trade related ▪ Mill experience (preferred) ▪ Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal. ▪ Flexibility and agility in an ever-changing environment ▪ Consistent attendance and punctuality ▪ Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment.
