Position Title: Project Controls Manager

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Schedule:

Time Horizon: 14 Weeks

Span of Control: 13 persons

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years

B.S./B.A. or equivalent experience

Overview:

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for overseeing and delivering all project controls deliverables as required by the contract/client and our client. This position oversees Cost/Schedule Engineers who are field-based and must have knowledge of field-based project controls functions. An in-depth understanding of both scheduling and cost controls is required for this position. The Project Controls Manager reports directly to the Program Manager and serves as the primary interface point for all client Project Controls personnel. Periodic site visits are required to perform jobsite walkdowns and interface with field staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement program-level processes for scheduling, forecasting, cost controls, progressing, and reporting (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Review all reports and be ultimately responsible for all cost/schedule documents submitted to the client.
  • Perform all functions of the Cost/Schedule Engineer.
  • Oversee and manage Cost/Schedule Engineers in the field, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to perform jobsite walkdowns and interface with field staff.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of project controls deliverables.
  • Interface with client Project Controls personnel, acting as the direct point of contact.
  • Develop detailed project schedules that include activities, milestones, resources, and durations.
  • Monitor and control project progress and costs, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Prepare and present project controls reports to the Program Manager and client.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls within the oil and gas construction industry.
  • B.S./B.A. degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling and cost control functions.
  • Experience managing a team of 13 persons.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to perform jobsite walkdowns and interface with field staff.
  • In-depth understanding of project controls deliverables and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in field-based project controls roles.
  • Familiarity with project controls processes and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
