ChildServe is Hiring a Day Habilitation Specialist (Full Time) Near Ames, IA
- Anticipated start date: July 29, 2024
- M-F, 8am – 3:30pm
- Opportunities for additional hours may be available as needed
- Provide direct care and assist assigned individuals with accessing the community and increasing independence with communication, socialization and daily living skills
- Implement individual’s care plans and provide ongoing feedback regarding additional or changing care plan needs to child’s supervisor or Day Hab Supervisor
- Required to become certified for medication administration, seizures, and g-tube feedings as well as other specialized trainings as identified
- Assure timely and accurate documentation
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience working with or knowledge of children with special health care needs preferred
- Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver if required. This includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid driver’s license and insurance
- Good oral and written communication skills and have the ability to accurately document all observations, significant events, and services provided.
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
