We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the Best Western Plus University Park Inn & Suites. The General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, training staff, managing people and establishing policies meeting financial goals, controlling costs. Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of our hotel
• Follow up on all guest concerns or complaints
• Design strategy and set goals for growth
• Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
• Set policies and processes
• Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
• Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
• Prepare regular reports for upper management
• Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
• Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Develop and implement revenue management strategies
• All duties assigned by Vice President of Operations or owners
• Ensure compliance to all brand standards and QA audits

Skills

• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
• Experience in planning and budgeting
• Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
• Strong analytical ability
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Problem-solving aptitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000 - $70,000 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Hotel: 5 years (Required)
• Management: 2 years (Required)
